Interest in Shadowrun Campaign?
« on: Dec 15, 2011 11:16AM »

I'm currently speaking with a coworker about the possibilities of starting a Shadowrun campaign out of The Battle Standard.

If you're not familiar with Shadowrun...

- Take D&D, Mission Impossible, The Matrix, Robocop and jam it into a world of Yakuza Mob and Native American Tribal influence.

So if you've ever wanted to play a 9ft tall troll with wired reflexes wielding dual monofilament axes chasing down a hitman that was accidentally given the wrong target then you'll probably enjoy Shadowrun.

At this point I'm trying to feel out interest, but I have high hopes that this will pan out.

I would be interested in at least trying it - with my other commitments to D&D and other games I can't say if I'd be free for a whole campaign. I've been interested in the concept for years though, ever since the Shadowrun FPS came out on the Xbox 360. Maybe run a couple demo one-off sessions with premade stuff first to give people a first look at the game?

I'm sure sopmething like that can be arranged.  Let's see who else responds and whether this potential GM pans out.  We'll take it from there.
